The full Mount Pleasant High School UIL Academic team completed its fall season on Saturday, November 8 at the 20th annual Whitehouse Thanksgiving Classic. MPHS won three 1st place category awards, two 2nd place team awards, and numerous individual medals.

Next up for MPHS UIL, the spelling team will compete in Waco, MP Speech and Debate will travel to Sabine, and the math team will close out the semester at Spring Hill, all on December 6. The teams are coached by Gina Crouch, Osias Hernandez, Jack Jones, Joel Whitaker, John Whitten, Kim Cox, Larry Russell, Randy Ballard, Britney Lunsford, Crystal Francis, Shelby Criss, and Tammy Thomas.
