Mount Pleasant High School crowned the Homecoming King and Queen during pregame festivities on Friday, September 25. The Homecoming King, Adan Torres, is the son of Eddie and Maribel Torres. The Homecoming Queen, Dalia Balderas, is the daughter of Jose Balderas and Araceli Solorio.

Also recognized were the Football Sweethearts, selected by members of each Tiger football team. Freshman Sweetheart, Braylee Noguera, is the daughter of Jose and Magan Cigarroa. The JV Sweetheart, Jayden Baker, is the daughter of Jace and Leigh Baker. And the Varsity Sweetheart, Shannon Hines, is the daughter of Shannon Hines and Monique Newton.

The Band Beau and Sweetheart, selected by members of the Goin’ Gold Band and Colorguard, were also crowned. The Band Beau, Axel Mata, is the son of Pablo Mata and Marcela Macias. The Band Sweetheart, Grace Martinez, is the daughter of Victor Hugo Martinez and Esmeralda Martinez.

The Tigers won the Homecoming game, defeating Greenville 42-13. This Friday they have a bye and will resume play on Friday, October 9 at Terrell.
