MPHS Bass Fishing Team Closes Fall Season on Lake O’ the Pines
The Mount Pleasant High School Bass Fishing Team closed out the fall season at the Texas High School Bass Association (THSBA) tournament on Lake O’ the Pines on Saturday, October 26. MPHS had 11 boats on the water with four of those reeling in fish. Overall, Mount Pleasant reeled in 9 fish weighing a combined total of 24.25 pounds finishing in 9th place out of 26 schools.
First for the Tigers, Kamen and Khloe Dunn placed 6th out of 164 boats pulling in five fish weighing 16.05 pounds. Next for the Tigers, brothers Gunner and Case Rodgers pulled in 3 fish weighing 5.54 pounds placing 55th. Joseph Bell and Logan Holderness reeled in one fish weighing 2.66 pounds. And Major McCoo was just behind with 1 fish weighing 2.36 pounds.
The MPHS Bass Fishing team will resume casting in March with two more opportunities to qualify for Regionals.
