Seniors Earn Certificate of Competency in Electrical Technology
Congratulations to our twenty-one seniors who graduated from Northeast Texas Community College with their Certificates of Competency in Electrical Technology before they even graduated from Mount Pleasant High School! Some of these students will begin work immediately in the electrical field while others will continue their training in a different educational setting on their journey toward becoming a Journeyman or Master Electrician.
“This is the largest group of graduates I have ever had,” said MPHS Electrical instructor, Tim Davis. “There is such a need in our community and nationwide for electricians and other skilled trades. Collegiate Electrical programs and electrical companies love our students because of the background knowledge they already have. I have schools and companies calling me every year wanting to recruit our students.”
Those graduates include Daniel Adame, Adrian Arce, Luis Avilez, Jason Barrientos, Brayden Basaldua, Jakob Carr, Osmar Galindo, Anthony Gonzalez, Cesar Gonzalez, Andres Lopez, Anthony Loredo, Cristian Martinez, Daniel Mejia, Emmanuel Merinos, Estella Nevarez-Betancourt, Ethan Sanchez, Jesus Santiago, Enrique Serrano, Eduardo Solis-Atrizco, Bryan Valle, and Anthony Zambrano.
