The 2025-2026 Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy at Mount Pleasant High School completed its first service activity during the weeks of September 29-October 6. Leader Academy members personally delivered over 800 books to every MPISD elementary campus and read them with the students. Each book featured information about different animals including Chipmunks (Fowler), Dolphins (Sims), Sea Turtles (Brice), and Toucans (Corprew). The Chick-Fil-A Cow also made appearances at each campus.

Chick-Fil-A’s million book giveaway is an annual service project organized by the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy. The goal is to give away one million books each year focusing on promoting literacy and a love of reading among young children. The MPHS chapter of the Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy is advised by David Clark.
