Mount Pleasant High School held a ceremony on Wednesday, April 30 in the MPHS Auditorium honoring seven seniors who have committed to entering the armed forces after graduation. In front of the American flag and with their families in the audience, each senior was introduced by Mount Pleasant High School Principal, Jason Adams, and presented a red, white and blue cord to wear at graduation. Also in attendance to help present cords were MPHS Class of 2025 Counselor Todd Burns, Army Staff Sergeant Green, Army Staff Sergeant Braze, Marine Staff Sergeant Gonzalez, and Marine Private Williams.

Those seniors and their military branches include Sunny Bui (Army), Andy Carrillo (Marine Corps), Mariah Cheatum (Air Force), Cesar Garcia (Army), Seth Robertson (Army), Alessandro Trejo (Army), and Itzia Urbina (Marine Corps).

The Mount Pleasant High School commencement ceremony is set for Friday, May 16 at Sam Parker Stadium at 8:00 p.m.
