Students in the Mt. Pleasant High School Hospitality and Tourism class got a special tour of the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas the Friday before Thanksgiving break.  The students were guided through the facilities employee tunnels seeing the banquet kitchen, employee cafeteria, the HVAC equipment and many other parts of the building.  The MPHS students were given the opportunity to talk with employees along the tour and ask questions of the Human Resources Department.

The day finally ended with a stop at the Galleria Dallas Mall where many of the students went ice skating for the first time.

The students in this class are interested in working in the Hospitality industry which includes lodging and restaurants. At the end of the day, many students expressed interest in working at the Gaylord Texan in any of their departments.
