Mount Pleasant High School senior Kylee Strickland played in the District 10-5A tournament at Tempest Golf Club in Gladewater on March 23 and 26. Strickland shot a 69 and was tied for 1st place after day one of the tournament. And on day 2 she shot 71 and finished 2nd overall, just two strokes back from the district champion.

Strickland has qualified for the Regional Tournament all four years of high school. As a freshman, she led the Lady Tigers to a team district championship. As an individual, her district record is two district championships, one 2nd place finish, and one 3rd place finish. Strickland will compete in the Regional Tournament at Pottsboro on April 15 – 16.
