The Mount Pleasant High School Tiger Dolls attended their final competition of the year at the American Dance/Drill Team Lost Pines Dance Showcase at Cedar Creek High School in Bastrop, TX on Saturday, February 15.

The Tiger Doll team earned a Sweepstakes and a Gussie Nell Davis award for having a score of 93 or higher on all three team routines. They received Judge’s Awards for Pom, Lyrical, and Hip Hop for having a score of 94 or above from all judges. They received Best Overall Platinum in Presentation, Precision, Technique, and Choreography. And finally, they were named Best in Class 1st runner-up and 4th place Best of the Best Team out of all 25 teams at the competition.

Additionally, they won a getpoms.com Giving Back Award for their involvement in the CASA Fairy Dust Princess Ball. GetPoms.com sponsors the Giving Back Award at regional events to recognize teams for their community service. The Grand Champion will be selected from the regional entries, and then GetPoms.com will make a donation to the charity of the team’s choice.

The Officer squad of Audrey Fisher, Jalyssa Aguilar, Violet Castaneda, Dori Macedo, and Morgan Zepeda brought home a Sweepstakes and a Gussie Nell Davis award for having a score of 93 or higher on all three officer routines. They received Judge’s Awards for Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop for scores of 94 or above from all judges. They received Best Overall Gold in Presentation, Precision, and Choreography. And finally, they were Best in Class 1st runners up.

The Tiger Dolls will now turn their attention to tryouts for the 2025-2026 year and their annual spring show scheduled for April 18 and 19. They are under the direction of Jaton Broach.
