MPHS Senior’s Drawing Chosen for Exhibition
Mount Pleasant High School senior, Valerie Cassio, was selected to be part of the Texas Art Education Association’s 2025 txEDCON Exhibition. Her piece, Milonese, a drawing of her cat, was chosen to be part of the exhibition that showcased Pre-K through 12th grade works of art from across the state of Texas. Multiple districts were represented at the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) and Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Convention in the exhibit hall at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston from September 11-14, 2025.
Cassio has been a part of the MPHS art program for three years. MPHS art classes are taught by Laura Kirkland.
