MPHS Fashion Design Students Hold 2nd Annual Fashion Show
Mount Pleasant High School Fashion Design students showcased their work on Friday, May 1 in the second annual MPHS Fashion Show, highlighting the creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation of its students. The main open area in the MPHS academic building, known as “Tiger Alley”, was transformed into a runway, ready for the models to reveal the designers’ creations.
Participants from Fashion Design II and III unveiled original collections that reflected the diverse skills developed throughout the program. In addition to constructing their garments, students took on the full scope of the design process—recruiting models, styling each look, and developing mood boards to communicate the vision behind their collections. Fashion Design II students each produced one garment, while Fashion Design III students completed three-piece collections, demonstrating advanced techniques and cohesive design concepts. Student volunteers from MPHS served as models for these collections.
Fashion Design 2 participants included Ivan Bernardino, Leslie Cassio, Valerie Cruz, Valeria Flores, Bryan Garcia, Genesis Garcia, Ale Hernandez, Angela Lopez, Helen Munoz, Joselyn Ramirez, Brenda Ramirez, Marely Rotuno, Margarita Sauceda, Melani Soriano, and Gabby Zachry. Fashion Design 3 participants included Yvette Cervantes, Colt Covey, Anny Delgadillo, Emily Ortiz, Dayanara Pulquero, Bella Reyes, and Alexandra Velez.
