The Mount Pleasant High School Bass Fishing Team got the 2024-2025 regular season underway at the Texas High School Bass Association (THSBA) tournament on Lake Palestine Sandlin on Saturday, September 14.  MPHS has ten boats competing this year, the most of any season.

First for the Tigers, Logan Holderness came in 16th out of 195 boats with 5 fish weighing 9.94 lbs.  Kamen and Khloe Dunn placed 24th with 3 fish weighing 5.83 lbs. Joseph Bell was 65th with 1 fish weighing 2.63 lbs. Garrett Brown and Lance Albin were 99th with 1 fish weighing 1.4 lbs. And the team of Ryan Burg and Walter Terrell placed 104th with 1 fish weighing .95. The teams of Donald Cole and Marshall Humber, Rolston Morton and Jonathan Dalby, Joe Setina and Hayden Harvill, and Gunner and Karlee Rodgers also competed but were unable to reel anything in that day.

The MPHS Bass Fishing teams will be back on the water on October 5 at Lake Tawakoni.  Team members will be fishing for the chance to make it to the Regional tournament in April.
