The Mount Pleasant High School Bass Fishing Team closed their fall season at the Texas High School Bass Association (THSBA) tournament on Lake Bob Sandlin on Saturday, October 26. As a team, MPHS came in 5th out of 32 schools with 15 fish weighing 29.36 lbs.

First for the Tigers, Lance Albin and Garrett Brown placed 7th out of 160 boats pulling in five fish weighing 11.37 lbs. The team of Jonathan Dalby and Rolston Morton placed 16th with five fish weighing 9.66 lbs. Joe Setina and Hayden Harvill placed 27th with five fish weighing 8.33 lbs. The team of Kamen and Khloe Dunn were just behind in 28th with four fish weighing 7.91 lbs. Gunner and Karlee Rodgers came in 72nd with two fish weighing 3.43 lbs. And Donald Cole and Marshall Humber placed 77th with two fish weighing 3.22 lbs. Also competing for Mount Pleasant were Ryan Burg and Walter Terrell, Xzavion Jenkins and Kendall McCoo, Joseph Bell, and Logan Holderness.

The MPHS Bass Fishing team will be back on the water in March. Team members will be fishing for the chance to make it to the Regional tournament in April.
