The Mount Pleasant High School swim team competed at the district meet in Texarkana on Saturday, January 25. MPHS will send nine swimmers in seven events to the regional meet at the New Caney ISD Natatorium on February 7-8.

Advancing to the Regional meet for MPHS:

Girls 200 medley relay (Emelia Ethridge, Ava Fite, Joseline Hernandez, and Kate Ball) placed 3rd at district

Boys 200 medley relay (Alessandro Greco, Cohen Gillean, George Fite, and Hayden Harvill) placed 3rd at district.

Boys 200 free relay (Alessandro Greco, Cohen Gillean, George Fite, and Hayden Harvill) placed 3rd at district.

Girls 100 breaststroke (3rd place Emelia Ethridge)

Girls 50 freestyle (5th place Joseline Hernandez, 6th place Ava Fite)

Boys 50 freestyle (6th place Alessandro Greco)

Girls 100 freestyle (4th place Ava Fite, 5th place Joseline Hernandez, 6th place Mattie Merriman)
