The Mount Pleasant High School Goin’ Gold Band held auditions to select the 2025-2026 Drum Majors on Saturday, April 18 in the Performing Arts Complex at MPHS.

Leading the band next year are Head Drum Major Bruno DeLeon, Associate Drum Major Rosali Niño, and Assistant Drum Majors Angel Farias and Makayla Mather.

The Goin’ Gold Band is currently holding auditions for marching season. The 2025 marching show, “Beetlejuice”, is based on the movie of the same name and features songs “Day-O, the Banana Boat Song” by Harry Belafonte, “Waiting for You” by Richard Marx as well as thematic music and sounds from the movie. The band is under the direction of Theodus Luckett III, Brian Bass, Agustin Garcia, Karen Luckett, Christopher Richard, and Sheri Sullivan.
