In their second season in existence, the Mount Pleasant ISD Clay Target competed in the fall skeet season with the Texas State High School Clay Target League. Approximately 60 students throughout the state began the season on September 15 and competed in six events, five of which were scored for competition.

Senior, Trent Milam, finished 1st overall in the state for the fall season, aided by impressive scores of 25 straight on week 1 of competition and 50 straight on week 5 of competition. Milam is the reigning 2024 State Champion. Sophomore, Lance Albin, finished 5th overall in the state aided by an impressive score of 50 straight in week 2 of competition. Albin is the reigning 2024 state bronze medalist. Milam and Albin were the only competitors in the entire league to accomplish scores of 50 straight.

The MPISD Clay Target Club will now begin preparing for the upcoming spring season that culminates in the state tournament held on June 7 at the Waco Trap and Skeet Club. Team members include Milam, Albin, Garrett Brown, Donald Cole, George Fite, Blake Humber, Caydon Johnson, Christian Johnson, Rolston Morton, and Cooper Rider. The team is coached by Josh Blackstone.
