Lady Tiger Powerlifting placed 2nd at their Last Chance Qualifier meet on Friday, February 14 at Mount Pleasant High School. This meet was the final opportunity for lifters to qualify for the Regional meet in March. Nine Lady Tigers competed and all nine medaled, finishing in the top four in their weight class.

Karen Hernandez, Cambria Malone, and Xitlaly Sanchez all placed 1st in their weight classes. Valerie Cassio, Monse Gonzalez, and Linnet Cuellar came in 2nd. Helen Salazar and Alaya Organista placed 3rd. And Diana Ramirez rounded out the medals in 4th place in her weight class.

The Lady Tiger powerlifters will learn soon if they have qualified for the Regional meet, to be held at Mount Pleasant High School on March 1. MPHS Powerlifting is coached by Don Woods and Blake Lodes.
