The Mount Pleasant Lady Tiger golf team opened the fall season on Monday with their first tournament of the year held at Mount Pleasant Country Club.  The Lady Tigers defended their home turf taking 1st place overall with a team total of 357.  Sulphur Springs finished two shots back at 359, followed by Texas High (430), and Whitehouse (449).  Mount Pleasant golfers Kylee Strickland and Reese Ball both shot a team-low 81 followed by Sophie Greco’s 93 and Olivia Reed’s 102.

The Lady Tigers will look to continue their strong start on October 17 at Sulphur Springs Country Club.  The boys’ team will begin their season October 5 in Longview at Wood Hollow.  The Mount Pleasant golf teams are coached by Benny Blaser.
