On April 26, 2026, the Mt. Pleasant High School Chapter of the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy sponsored a Fun Day to help raise money for the Ava Claire Dellwood Park and Pool Fund. The group chose this cause for their Community Impact Project.

The morning began with a 5K Color Run that drew over 90 runners and sponsors. The day continued with a carnival setting that included games, booths, and bounce houses. Kids of all ages participated in games and events earning prizes. CLS BBQ served pulled pork sandwiches, chips and drinks. All-in-all the day was a huge success. The Fun Day raised just over $10,000 toward the fund.

The family of Ava Claire was extremely supportive and appreciative of our efforts to honor the memory of their daughter. A big “Thank you” goes out to Mrs. Angie Denmon and the National Honor Society for their help. We could not have done it without them.
