MPHS Tigers Win Lineman Challenge Championship
Thirteen Mount Pleasant High School Tiger football team members competed in the Lineman Challenge on Friday, June 5 at the Gilmer High School Stadium. Five Tigers competed in each of ten events including the Big Man relay, medicine ball toss, harness pull, hoop dash, bench press, DB stack, team bus push, obstacle course, farmers walk relay, and the tug o’ war. Teams competed for best times, farthest distance, or physically moving another competitor to earn points. At the end of the challenge, the Mount Pleasant Tigers placed 1st, followed by Jefferson in 2nd, and Gilmer coming in 3rd.
Team members attending the challenge were coached by Malik Babaa and Don Woods. The MPISD Athletic Director and Head Football Coach is Joey Cluley.
