The Mount Pleasant High School Tiger Dolls competed in the very first American Dance/Drill Team Virtual Halftime Showcase on October 21. Teams could submit a video of themselves performing one field routine and the Dolls chose to submit their “Elton John” field pom, performed at the home game football game on September 25. Over 120 teams entered the competition.

The Dolls received a Division I rating for receiving a score of 90 or above from all three judges. They were also chosen for a special getpoms.com Best Pom award, given to only twelve teams out of over 40 pom routines entered.

“The Tiger Dolls were excited to kick off our competition season early this year with the virtual halftime showcase,” said MPHS Tiger Doll Director, Jaton Broach. “With so many changes happening over the last few months, it was nice having our first halftime performance not only to entertain our Tiger fans but to also be rewarded and receive feedback from judges on the performance. The Dolls work so hard all year long, and I am extremely proud of them for working together as a team and achieving success.”

The Tiger Dolls will perform at all varsity home football games this fall and will travel to as many away games as COVID restrictions will allow.
