Texas Governor Greg Abbott has signed a proclamation naming Wednesday, October 14, 2015 Texas Education Human Resources Day.

According to Gov. Abbott’s proclamation, Human Resources professionals “are key players in implementing effective practices for the hiring of quality staff to teach young Texans and keep schools running smoothly. They serve the needs of students, teachers, and administrators to create a healthy and safe learning environment in the best interest of students.”

“Our Human Resources Department is instrumental in recruiting, selecting and retaining quality staff for MPISD,” said Superintendent of Schools Judd Marshall.  “They play an important role in making sure our classrooms, schools, and departments are staffed with people who care about kids and want to see each student succeed.  I salute them for their hard work and their dedication to our students and staff.”
