Mount Pleasant Independent School District

Mount Pleasant ISD is an award-winning, fully accredited K-12 school district with active Early Childhood, Early Head Start, Head Start and Pre-K programs. The district serves over 5200 students on 8 campuses including the Child Development Center, four kindergarten through 4th grade campuses, a middle school campus (5th-6th grade), a junior high campus (7th-8th grade) and a high school (9th-12th). The district is also a full partner with Northeast Texas Community College and the Mt. Pleasant Economic Foundation in the Industrial Technology Training Center.

MPISD offers Gifted & Talented Programs on all campuses, art and music classes on all campuses and award-winning dance and drama programs on both the junior high and high school campuses. Students may participate in a wide-range of athletic activities (curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular), at the middle school, junior high school and high school. These include football,volleyball, basketball for boys and girls, baseball, softball, tennis, golf, track, cross country, and boys and girls soccer.

Students participate in UIL Academic competitions beginning in elementary school. Pre-AP and AP classes are offered in English, French, Math, Science,Social Studies, Spanish and Studio Art. Dual Credit College classes and TechPrep classes are offered on the high school campus and at the Regional Training Academy. The district has a full range of Career and Technical Education classes including AgriScience, Building Trades, Business, CAD Drafting, Criminal Justice, Electrical Trades, Health Science, Marketing, Ready-Set-Teach, Robotics and Web-Mastering.
