The Mt. Pleasant ISD School Foundation presented a check for $25,664.94 to the Mt. Pleasant Board of Trustees at the Monday, November 14 School Board Meeting.
Foundation President Brad Lowry told the School Board that the foundation received 32 grant application for the Fall round of grants.
“The Program Committee, led by Becca Bell, spent hours looking over the applications on their own time then met for 3 hours to decide which applications to fund. In the end, the Committee decided to fund 24 grants,” Lowry said. “This check represents the total dollar amount to be awarded to MPISD teachers.”
