Mount Pleasant High School has earned a place in the U.S. News and World Report Best High Schools rankings, landing in the top 26% among Texas schools and the top 34% in the nation. MPHS ranked number 607 among 2,297 Texas schools included in the publication. Nationally, MPHS was number 6,117 among nearly 18,000 schools ranked across the country.

The annual rankings focus on six key areas including college readiness, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth, and graduation rate.
