The 4th annual TRMC Tiger Town Tournament will take place Thursday, December 8 through Saturday, December 10. This year’s tournament will add a host site with Chapel Hill High School hosting some of the games along with Mount Pleasant High School to make it a city-wide tournament. Local businesses Lighthouse Realty and Pilgrim’s have teamed up with the Tigers and Titus Regional Medical Center to make this a great event for our community.

Many area teams will be participating as well as teams from across the state. A total of 20 teams will be converging on Mount Pleasant as two divisions will duke it out for the tournament crown. This year’s field includes six 5A-6A schools that will make up the large school round robin division. Mount Pleasant will defend its crown from last year as Braswell, Azle, Corsicana, Princeton, and Crandall will all vie for the trophy. The small school bracket (1A-4A) will consist of 14 teams which include Chapel Hill, Harts Bluff, Mt Vernon, Pittsburg, Atlanta, De Kalb, Gunter, Caldwell, Gladewater, Clarksville, Alvarado, Hemphill, Jefferson, and Mount Pleasant JV. Opening round games include Mount Pleasant vs Princeton, Chapel Hill vs Caldwell, Pittsburg vs Atlanta, and Mt Vernon vs Harts Bluff.

The games are set to begin at 11:00 AM at Mount Pleasant High School and 12:30 PM at Chapel Hill High School on Thursday and will run all day. Tickets will be sold online only at www.mpisd.net/athletic-tickets for $10 per day or fans can purchase a $25 weekend pass. Championship games will be held at Mount Pleasant High School on Saturday.
