The MPHS Tiger Powerlifters took home 1st Place at the Hallsville on Thursday, February 11. All Tigers medaled and senior Bruno DeLeon won the Most Outstanding Lifter award. The Tigers final regular season meet is February 26 at MPHS where they will be attempting to qualify for the Regional meet.

Individual medalists in their respective weight classes include Bruno DeLeon, Humberto Damian, Tony Grant, José Gonzalez, and Abraham Buenrostro winning 1st place. Placing 2nd were Edward Moya, Daniel Castillo, Bryson Taylor, and Isaiah Shepherd. Caleb Lopez placed 3rd and Alex Perez was 4th. And rounding out the medals were Diego Hernandez and Zac Newman in 5th place.
