The Lady Tiger volleyball players and coaches hosted their first annual Tiger Cub Clinic last Saturday as a way to introduce up and coming Mount Pleasant athletes to the game of volleyball. The clinic gave an opportunity for the community to interact with the high school players and learn skills such as serving, digging, and passing. Participants ranged in age from kindergarten through sixth grade and enjoyed a variety of games and drill work to improve their volleyball skills. “This was a chance for our varsity girls and coaching staff to work with some of our younger fans and introduce them to the game we all love,” said head coach Kristy Ciuba. “It was one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had since being here in Mount Pleasant and we hope to have even more young athletes next time.”

The Lady Tiger volleyball team will be in action again at home on September 27 with games beginning at 5:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased online at www.mpisd.net/athletic-tickets.
