All three Mount Pleasant High School Winter Guards traveled to Waxahachie High School to continue competition season. The teams attended the North Texas Colorguard Association contest on Saturday, February 1, and came away with two 1st place and one 3rd place finish.

The Mount Pleasant High School Varsity won their second championship of the season, placing 1st in the Scholastic A classification. The Varsity has now attended two competitions and has won both.

Mount Pleasant High School JV B won their first championship of the season, almost three points ahead of second place in the Novice division. This was the first competition the JVB team attended this season.

The Mount Pleasant High School JVA placed 3rd in the Regional A classification, an improvement over their 5th place finish the week before.

All five Mount Pleasant ISD Winter Guards will compete at Naaman Forest High School in Garland on Saturday, February 8. The High School Guards are under the direction of Marty Newman and the Junior Guards are under the direction of Peyton McClendon.
