The Mt. Pleasant High School FFA Wildlife team placed first in their District at the Sulfur Cypress Soil and Water Conservation District contest on October 6 at Daingerfield State Park. They will participate in the Red River County Contest on October 26, 2016 and in the Region 4 Contest at the Stephen F. Austin Experimental Forest in Nacogdoches on November 2, 2016.

Team members include junior Jakob Hill, sophomore Koda Sanches and sophomore Andrew Patino. Their advisor is MPHS Ag teacher Kelly Kinney.
