MPHS UIL Hosts Winter Tiger Classic
The Mount Pleasant High School UIL Academic team continued its season on Friday, January 24 and Saturday, January 25, hosting the Winter Tiger Classic on the MPHS campus. The annual event is a fund raiser for the MPHS Academic teams and helps to fund their travel to events throughout the year. In all, eighteen schools from our local area participated. MPHS was the 1st place team in the large school division, with six 1st place team and two 2nd place team individual awards, and numerous individual medals.

Next up for the MPHS UIL Academic team is the Tournament of Hearts at Hallsville on Saturday, February 8. The teams are coached by Gina Crouch Osias Hernandez, Jack Jones, David Clark, Joel Whitaker, John Whitten, Kim Cox, Larry Russell, Randy Ballard, and Tammy Thomas.
