Mount Pleasant High School senior Genesis Roberson signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Southwestern Christian College where she will be a setter for the Lady Rams while majoring in nursing. Located in Terrell, TX, SwCC participates in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 5 as a Division I program with fellow junior colleges Cisco, Hill, Ranger, Temple, North Central Texas, Vernon, Mountain View, and Dallas College—Richland.

Roberson has been a four-year member of the Lady Tiger volleyball team where she was a setter and right side hitter. In 2021 she was selected 2nd Team All–District and was selected for the Academic All-District team in 2020 and 2021. She is the daughter of Dexter Roberson and Adrianne Waters.
