Mount Pleasant High School FFA members attended the Fort Worth Stock Show with Ag Mechanics projects on January 12-15 and for the Sheep and Heifer Shows on January 17-22. MPHS FFA members brought home a number of ribbons and show awards.

Mount Pleasant High School senior, Leah Schmitt, earned a blue ribbon and 3rd place in the Junior Agricultural Mechanics Show, Livestock Equipment division, for her Bovine Buffet.

In the Breeding Sheep Show, senior Reese Hill placed 2nd in Suffolk Open Show, 2nd in Spring Ewe Suffolk, and 2nd in Suffolk Junior Show Aged Ewe Lamb. Freshman Rebecca Dunn placed 3rd in the Hampshire Junior Show 2Tooth, 5th in Hampshire Open Show 2Tooth, and 7th in Ewe Lamb.

In the Breeding Heifer, Schmitt was 1st in class with her Angus Heifer. Dunn was 5th in class with her Hereford Heifer. Senior Lakyn Fortenberry earned 5th in class ORB. And junior Jonathan Dalby was 16th in Brangus Heifer.

MPHS FFA members will show their animals and projects again at the San Angelo Stock Show starting January 31. MPHS FFA advisors are Susie Hearron, Blake Denson, Mike Huff, and Rance White.
