The Mount Pleasant High School Cheerleaders had one more competition to close out the 2025-2026 season, NCA High School Nationals at the Fort Worth Convention Center. But Mother Nature had other plans. With the team set to compete at 11:29 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, the same day that Winter Storm Fern was to hit the DFW area, the team initially thought their hopes to compete one more time was frozen. But at the last minute, NCA made some concessions and MPHS was able to perform on the afternoon of Friday, January 23, allowing them to get back home safely before the storm.

The team competed in the Medium Varsity Game Day division, placing 2nd out of 23 teams with 0 deductions, their best performance of the year.

The team will continue cheering for multiple Tiger and Lady Tiger sports teams throughout the spring and will hold tryouts for the 2026-2027 year in March. MPHS Cheer is coached by Marissa Marr and Dustin Cook.
