Four Mount Pleasant High School Tigers signed letters of intent to play college football on Wednesday afternoon – National Signing Day.

Before an audience of family members, coaches, teammates and fellow students, the four committed to continuing their athletic careers at the next level of play.

Caleb Johnson and Thomas Spann each signed a letter to play at Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas.  Asheton Brown signed to play at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. Calvin Williams sign to play ball at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth.

A fifth MPHS Tiger, James Moore, signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa California last Friday.

Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Corey Homer congratulated the five on their success as Tigers and for the opportunity they have been given to play on the college level. He also thanked the parents and other family members for their support.
