The Mount Pleasant High School Bass Fishing Team continued the regular season after a winter break at the Texas High School Bass Association (THSBA) tournament on Lake Fork on Saturday, March 8.

First for the Tigers, the team of Hayden Harvill and Joe Setina finished in 19th place out of 153 boats with 5 fish weighing 6.88 lbs. Logan Holderness finished in 53rd with 1 fish weighing 2 lbs. The team of Gunner and Karlee Rodgers placed 62nd with 1 fish weighing 1.45 lbs. Rolston Morton and Jonathan Dalby, came in 76th with 1 fish weighing .94 lbs. And Kamen and Khloe Dunn were just behind in 79th with 1 fish weighing .89 lbs. Also competing for the Tigers were Donald Cole and Marshall Humber, Ryan Burg and Walter Terrell, Garrett Brown and Lance Albin, Xzavion Jenkins and Kendall McCoo, and Joseph Bell.

The teams have one more tournament to qualify for regionals based on their placements during the regular season. Regionals is scheduled for April 26 at Lake Palestine where anglers will be fishing to qualify for the state tournament in May.
