MPHS JVB Winter Guard Qualifies for Championship
The Mount Pleasant High School JVB Winter Guard traveled to Mansfield High School for the North Texas Colorguard Association Cadet and Novice Championships on Saturday, March 8. The team qualified to participate in the final contest of the year through their performance rankings during the season.
Mount Pleasant High School JV B placed 6th in the Novice division, scoring higher than some varsity teams. This was the final competition the JVB team will attended this season.
MPHS JVA and Varsity Winter Guards have also qualified for the Championships in their respective categories. JVA will compete in the Regional A Championships on March 15 at Flower Mound High School and Varsity will compete in the Scholastic A Championships on March 29 at Coppell High School. The High School Guards are under the direction of Marty Newman.
