The Mount Pleasant High School Tiger Dolls attended their first competition of the year, the Marching Auxiliaries Rose Capital Regional competition at Tyler Junior College on Saturday, January 25. In total, the Dolls brought home 18 awards for the team and officer squad and individual accolades for a soloist and a duet.

The Tiger Doll team earned a Super Sweepstakes and 1st place team award in the Super category. They won 1st place team awards for their Pom, Lyrical, and Hip Hop. They received Outstanding Choreography and Outstanding Technique awards and a Judges award for their Team Lyrical. And finally, they were crowned the Top Scoring High School Team of the Day.

The Officer squad of Audrey Fisher, Jalyssa Aguilar, Violet Castaneda, Dori Macedo, and Morgan Zepeda brought home a Super Sweepstakes and a 1st place officer award in the Super category. They won 1st place Officer awards in Jazz, Lyrical and Hip Hop. They received an Outstanding Choreography award and were named the the Top Scoring Officers of the Day.

In the individual competitions, freshman, Marley Broach, placed 2nd in the junior solo division. And the duet of Broach and sophomore, Kenlee Jaggers, placed 3rd in the senior duet 15-16 division.

The Tiger Dolls will compete again on Saturday, February 1, at the Showtime International Metroplex Showcase at Argyle High School. They are directed by Jaton Broach.
