Clothes for the Classroom Collects Over 2,000 Clothing Items
From one MPHS class to the next, the Clothes for the Classroom Back to School clothing drive has been a great success. Clothes for the Classroom, whose moto is for students, by students, is a student-led nonprofit that Tanner Marshall, along with a group of students, started before their senior year in 2024. Tenley Marshall, Tanner’s sister, has taken over the cause and held a clothing drive this summer. The community responded in an incredible way by donating 2,087 clothing items and 100 pairs of shoes.
Tenley, Rylee Frederking, and Hannah Whitaker spent many hours sorting through the items hoping to lighten the workload for the receiving organization. The haul was donated to Communities In Schools (CIS) to be distributed to students in need throughout the community. Thank you to everyone who donated!
