With the most successful season in Mount Pleasant basketball history behind them, the accolades and recognition for the team’s historic season continue to roll in. Head Coach Joey Chism was recently nominated for the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Outstanding Coach Award. Nominees for this award are selected from each region by a committee for those coaches who had an outstanding season but fell short of the Final Four.

Coach Chism led the Tigers to a 29-7 mark overall and their first ever appearance in the Regional Tournament. The Tigers resilience throughout the playoffs caught the attention of many teams and coaches throughout the state.

Congratulations Coach Chism on being one of the top coaches in the state of Texas!
