The Mt. Pleasant High School and Junior High boys’ cross-country teams traveled to Cumby, Texas, this weekend to compete in the Miller Grove Invitational.
The boys had a strong showing, with all three runners who attended setting a new personal record.
High school runner Chris Mendez finished second with a time of 17:03. For the junior high team, Samuel Erickstad placed ninth with a time of 13:07, while Aaron Mendoza finished 40th with a time of 15:27.
The junior high and high school boys continue to show great support for one another, encouraging and cheering each other on throughout the race. Chris Mendez demonstrated that sportsmanship by running alongside his junior high teammates and supporting them through the finish.
Way to go, Tigers!
