MPHS Sophomore’s Drawing Chosen for Exhibition
Mount Pleasant High School sophomore, Michelle Garrett, was selected to be part of the Texas Art Education Association’s (TAEA) Youth Art Month Exhibition. Her piece, Mario, a drawing of a friend, was chosen to be part of the exhibition that will showcase Pre-K through 12th grade works of art from across the state of Texas. Selected pieces will be on display at the Bullock Texas State History Museum during the month of March.
Garrett has been a part of the MPHS art program for two years and has won multiple awards for her work. MPHS art classes are taught by Laura Kirkland.
