After an amazing weekend at the Regional track meet on May 1-2 at the University of Texas at Arlington, three Mount Pleasant High School Tiger Track team members are headed to state.

Cooper Rider is the Regional Pole Vault Champion, followed closely behind by Conley Johnson in 2nd place. Both hit a personal record of 15 feet.

Terrelle Beard secured an at-large bid after having the fastest 3rd place time in the 300 M Hurdles among all 4 regions in the state. Beard also hit a personal record at the regional meet.

The 5A UIL Track & Field State Meet is Friday, May 15 at the Mike A. Myers Track & Soccer Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. Jeffery Litke is the Head Boys Track Coach. Pole Vault is coached by Chase Vaughn and hurdles are coached by Kavan Johnson.
