The energy of a new school year filled the Mount Pleasant High School Auditorium on Monday, August 10, as MPISD staff gathered for the district’s annual Convocation. The event officially kicked off the 2026-27 school year and brought staff members together for a morning of school spirit and encouragement.

Staff were greeted by the sights and sounds of the Goin’ Gold Band and Colorguard, Tiger Dolls, and Cheerleaders as they arrived. The groups helped set the tone for the morning before leading attendees in the MPHS Fight Song and the National Anthem.

Members of the MPISD Board of Trustees and MPISD Superintendent Judd Marshall shared words of encouragement and support for district employees as they begin another year of serving MPISD students and families.

Teachers and staff are now preparing for the first day of school on Tuesday, August 18.
