The Mount Pleasant High School Math team has advanced to the State UIL Meet. The team earned the wild card position by having the highest second place score in regional competition in the State. The State UIL Meet will take place May 23-25 on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin.

“We are very excited that the high school Math team will compete at State this year,” said MPISD Superintendent of Schools Judd Marshall. “These students work extremely hard throughout the year to prepare for the UIL meets. They practice before and after school and give up quite a few Saturdays to attend meets. I congratulate them and their sponsor MPHS teacher Andy Speir. I know they will be great representatives of our school district and community.”
