Kelli Glenn, Associate Principal of Mount Pleasant High School, has been selected to represent the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP) as the Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year for Region 8. TASSP recognizes outstanding principals and assistant principals from the twenty Education Service Centers in the state. School administrators are nominated and chosen by their peers within their regions. Nominations are based upon exemplary performance and outstanding leadership.
Glenn joined Mount Pleasant ISD in 2012 and has served in various leadership roles at both Mount Pleasant Junior High and Mount Pleasant High School. She attended Texas A&M University and earned a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in political science. She furthered her education at Texas State University and was awarded a Master of Education in Educational Administration.
As the Region 8 winner, Glenn is eligible to compete for the state title of Texas Assistant Principal of the Year. Each of the region winners will be recognized during the Jostens Night of the Stars Awards Dinner held in conjunction with the TASSP Summer Workshop in June of 2026. Each will be presented with an award and recognized in a commemorative Summer Workshop yearbook.
