The Wallace Dance Team attended the Marching Auxiliaries Dance Nationals competition on March 27-28 at the University of Texas at Arlington. The team competed in the Elementary Select division with three team routines, an officer jazz, and a duet.

The Wallace Dance Team earned 1st place in Team Lyrical and 2nd place in both Team Hip-Hop and Team Jazz, with all three routines receiving Superior Trophies awarded to routines that receive a score of 85 or higher from at least two judges.

The Wallace Dance Team captains Valentina Vega, Josie Rodriguez, Aubrey Perez, and Aaliyah Garrett placed 1st in the Elementary Officer Jazz category. And Head Captain Valentina Vega and First Co-Captain Aubrey Perez earned 2nd place in their division for their jazz duet.

“Congratulations to the Wallace Dance Team on an outstanding performance at Nationals,” said Coach Stefen Harmon. “Their dedication, talent, and hard work continue to represent Wallace with excellence.”

The Wallace Dance Team will close out their year with performances at the Tiger Doll spring show, the Wallace Dance Showcase, and the MPJH ADT Recital, and the Raevin Dance Factory recital.
