P.E. Wallace Middle School Dance Team Wins Big at Competition
The Wallace Dance Team competed at the American Dance/Drill Team National Championship at The University of North Texas on March 28 and 29. The team competed in the Elementary School division with a jazz, lyrical, and hip routine and brought home 6 awards.
They were named 1st runner up Academic Champions for a team GPA of 3.58. Team members earned a Sweepstakes and a Gussie Nell Davis award for having a score of 93 or higher on all three team routines. They received three 1st place National Champion awards for their jazz, hip hop, and lyrical routines. And they were named First Runners Up National Champions for the Elementary School division.
The Wallace Dance Team will close out their year with performances at the Tiger Doll spring show on April 18 and 19, the Wallace Dance Showcase on May 8, and the MPJH ADT Recital on May 10, followed by tryouts for the 2025-2026 year on May 21. They are under the direction of Stefen Harmon.
