The P.E. Wallace Middle School Dance Team competed at the Showtime International Spring Spectacular at North Forney High School on Saturday, March 2. At the end of the day, the team would bring home 13 awards.

Team members earned a Sweepstakes award, given to teams that have entered 3 or more routines with a score of at least 85 from each judge on each routine. They received three Best in Category Awards for Jazz, Hip Hop, and Lyrical. They earned a Team Applause award for Energy. They were the top scoring hip hop team. And, they were named Team Grand Champions for the Intermediate division. Finally, they received an invite to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2024.

Additionally, the Officer squad of Captain Piper Hearron and Co-Captains Karli Lowry and Ariadnna Martinez earned a 1st division for their officer lyrical, a Best in Category award for their lyrical scoring at least 92 from all 3 judges, and a Supreme award for the highest scoring officer lyrical. And the Wallace Dance Team Director received a Director Grand Champion award for having the Team Grand Champions in the Intermediate division.

The Wallace Dance Team will close out their year with performances at the Wallace Assembly on April 5, the Tiger Doll spring show on April 26 and 27, the Wallace Dance Showcase on May 2, the MPJH ADT Recital on May 11, and the Raevin Showcase in May. They are under the direction of Stefen Harmon.
