MPJH Winter Guards Compete in NTCA Championships
The Mount Pleasant Junior High School Winter Guards traveled to Mansfield High School for the North Texas Colorguard Association Cadet and Novice Championships on Saturday, March 8. The Junior Guard and Junior Guard JV both qualified to compete in the Championships based on their performances and scores from previous qualifying contests.
The Mount Pleasant Junior Guard placed 2nd in the Cadet classification, almost 5 points ahead of 3rd place. The Junior Guard JV placed 5th in the Cadet category, less than 1 point out of 4th place.
This contest marked the end of Winter Guard season for the Mount Pleasant Junior Guards. They will now turn their attention to auditions for the upcoming school year. The Junior Guards are under the direction of Peyton McClendon, assisted by Gracie McClendon.
